My Perspective on Color Photography

There is colour.

…….  and then there is the time of day, the filtered or unfiltered light, the altitude, temperature, humidity in the air, moisture crystals in the air  -  all change the color of the image ……. Some images that cannot be bypassed or just ‘seen’.

I try to be available at just those times of the day, month, year for that ‘magic’ ……sometimes luck ….. but then, sometimes the image just shouts at you,  seeming to say  -

‘…Look at me!   See me – stop and look! ‘.

I try to keep my color imagery as authentic as possible – in other words,  I try to not manipulate the image or the color.  I am there and I am fortunate to be present when the light and color are extraordinary.  Many of the color images that I have produced, to this point, were at one time color Ekta-Chrome slides, converted to digital for the purposes of enlargement.

I now work with color in digital format, with several cameras and lenses.
