Elsah Creek
VILLAGE OF ELSAH, ILLINOIS
A calm morning at the bridge that crosses Elsah Creek , at the mouth of Askew hollow, as it enters the Mississippi River.
It always amazes me - the history of this very spot - where steamboats, paddlewheelers and boats of every kind landed at the Village of Elsah to pick up cut stone, timber, corn, supplies and drop off townspeople and adventuring explorers.
