Morning Gloaming
SKY VALLEY RANCH, COLORADO
Early morning, on the way to feed the horses…..Mt. Yale in the ‘Collegiate Range’ is in the background….
I was treated to what the Scottish call ‘the gloaming’ – early morning light and its special treatment of the vast areas of Ponderosa Pine on the foothills of Mt. Yale.
My Father spent his youth here, wrangling horses, before barbed fences cut up the Valley and summer homes changed the look of this range of Mountains.
I am always grateful for the unique light and atmosphere that allow for these special moments - and that I get to be there.
